Third Division. Divided into 6 Zones, each of 16 teams. Yet, this season was plagued by expulsions during the season: at the end of half-season all groups featured 16 teams. In the spring of 1970 three Zones – Zagore, Yantra, and Miziya lost 4 teams for unknown reasons. The most curious disappearance happened in Zona Zagore – the strong and aiming at promotion Neftokhimik – or Neftokhim? - from Bourgas was out. If Second Division left few picures of the participants, Third level left almost nothing:Rozova dolina (Kazanlak)in dark shirts against ZSK Slavia (Sofia) was practically everything. Anyhow, the season finished and there were winners promoted to Second Division: the winners going to the Northern Group of Second Division: Zona Cherno More –Vatev (Beloslav) Zona Yantra – Chernolometz (Popovo) Zona Miziya -Minyor (Chiprovtrzi) To the Southern Group of Second Division: Zona Vitosha – Slivnishki geroy (Slivnitza) Zona Zagore – Energetik (Galabovo) Zona Trakia -Botev (Svilengrad).
